Albuquerque student’s design will be featured on 2026 Balloon Fiesta pin

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque student will have her design featured on an official pin for the 2026 Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.

Luna Perez Carpio, a fifth-grade student at Petroglyph Elementary School in Albuquerque, beat out more than 80 other students from across the state. Her design will become the official Balloons Aloft pin for the 54th ExxonMobil Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, taking place Oct. 3-11.
