Albuquerque, NM(KKOB) – An Albuquerque man was found guilty on Thursday for a carjacking that happened in 2024. Nasiah Perea was charged with several counts including armed robbery, and unlawful taking of a motor vehicle. The incident happened near Broadway and Odelia where Perea approached the driver of a BMW and threatened him with a gun and stole his vehicle.
The victim of the carjacking is a hot air balloon pilot who was on his way to a pilot briefing during the International Balloon Fiesta. Perea now faces 15 years in prison…
