Truck driver arrested for blowing through BCSO sergeant crash scene

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A semi-truck driver was arrested for allegedly blowing through the scene of a crash that left a Bernalillo County Sheriff’s sergeant dead on I-40.

The driver is accused of barreling through with no lights on, blared his horn and cut people off while BCSO deputies still had two lanes closed to investigate the death of Sgt. Michael Schlattman.

When deputies pulled the driver over, he allegedly flipped them off and hid in the truck cab. BCSO shared video of deputies firing pepper balls at him through the window and eventually tasing him to get him out…
