Shelter in place lifted at West Mesa High School

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – West Mesa High School went into a shelter in place Thursday afternoon after a juvenile had a gun near the campus. According to the principal, an administrator was going back to campus after addressing another matter at a nearby dog park when he saw three juveniles in the tunnels near the school.

Driver who crashed stolen vehicle into APD sergeant pleads guilty

The principal said that one of the juveniles was holding what looked like a gun and ran off. The incident was reported to police. The shelter in place lasted for about 25 minutes.
