Albuquerque Police: Major crime declined between 2024 and 2025

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department said major crime is on the decline in Albuquerque. APD released the crime statistics for 2025, which show that violent crimes overall are down 26% from 2024, with homicide being down 34% and robbery down 22%.

Property crime overall is down 34%, with car thefts being down 43%. They also reported a 28% increase in felony arrests on new charges.
