ALBUQUERQUE — Houston Christian University dropped a pair of tight games on the first day of the UNM Invitational, falling to Tarleton State 6-4 in the opener before UTEP rallied for two runs in the seventh to steal a 3-2 win in the second game.
The Huskies are now 2-14 on the season. HCU will be back at it on Saturday with two more games, facing off with UTEP once again at 11 am and versus host New Mexico at 4 pm, both Central time starts.
