Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –The former top official of the NM Depart of Transportation, Ricky Serna will now head to his new job at the State Treasurer’s office. Serna was recently appointed second in command to NM State Treasurer Laura Montoya. Serna will replace Janice Barela who has served in the position for 25 years. Barela will officially leave the job on March 17th. According to a press release, Serna will oversee day-to-day operations and help Montoya manage a $6 million office budget and a $20 billion investment portfolio.
