Monday morning forecast

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – After a blustery and dusty Sunday from yesterday’s Arctic cold front that barreled into New Mexico, winds will relax some this afternoon. This morning is also much colder – temperatures have fallen into the single digits in far northeast New Mexico, teens in the central highlands, 20s and low 30s across southeast New Mexico. Albuquerque morning lows have dipped into the upper 20s and low 30s.

It’s still a bit breezy, just not as crazy as yesterday. We will finally get a bit of a break from the strong to damaging wind gusts from yesterday. However, some spots will still see a few peak wind gusts getting up to 20-40 MPH. Albuquerque wind gusts will be up to 20-25 MPH at times through the afternoon, while winds will be gusting up to 40 MPH in the Four Corners. Winds will be out of the northwest.
