Albuquerque City Council considers raising gross receipts tax

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Albuquerque City Council is considering a proposal to raise the city’s gross receipts tax by 0.4875%, potentially generating an extra $130 million annually.

City Councilor Brook Bassan supports the tax increase. The funds would support projects like the Paseo and Unser Buildout and the North Domingo Baca Aquatic Center.
