Crash leaves disabled veterans’ advocate without home, halts nonprofit work

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Years after serving in the U.S. Army as a Farsi translator, Jennie Timar found a new mission: helping disabled veterans and trauma survivors reconnect with the outdoors through her nonprofit, Hike Bike Alike.

But today, her work is at a standstill after a violent car crash in Albuquerque left her injured and without the campervan she relies on as both her home and operational base.
