ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The community is giving back to families in need Saturday by donating clothes. This weekend is the return of the annual Recyclothes Donation Drive.
This is Locker 505’s 15th year putting on this clothing drive. The event gave people the opportunity to donate gently used clothing, along with new makeup kits, new hygienic products, and toys.
Saturday’s donation drive helps the nonprofit serve nearly 5,000 students across the metro. “New hygienic products, makeup, toys, those go a long way to helping kids because when kids get to go into Locker 505, it just looks like a store to them, and they’re able to help these kids just get to feel a little normal. Just get to go on a little shopping spree to get those things that they need in their everyday lives,” said Alex Bukoski, public information officer with the Solid Waste Management Department…
