ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Prosecutors say 19-year-old Miguel Rivera faces four pending cases, and they want to keep him in jail as they fight any claim that he is not competent.
Rivera appeared before a judge, where he faced accusations that he crashed a stolen car into stores across Albuquerque, stole thousands of bottles of liquor, and bragged about it online.
The judge decided to hold Rivera in jail until his pretrial detention hearing. The Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Office said Rivera has charges dating back to 2024, including burglary and damage to property, but he has never been convicted…
