[1] Evacuations ordered for the Unified Fire near Jarales – Fire crews are battling the Unified Fire near Jarales, by Highway 304 and Lagrima Rd on Tuesday. Officials said the fire had jumped the Rio Grande onto the west side, was burning on both sides, and was developing a lot of spot fires. It is moving north, and any neighborhoods nearby should check with Valencia County Fire Rescue on evacuations. Firefighters say the fire has burned around 500 acres and is 0% contained. PNM had to cut distribution lines, and there are roughly 265 homes without power.

[2] NM jury finds Meta violated state law in child safety trial; company to pay $375M – A New Mexico jury on Tuesday reached a verdict in the New Mexico Department of Justice’s trial against Meta over claims that the social media giant knowingly put children and teen users in danger. The verdict puts the tech giant on the hook for $375 million worth of damages to be paid to the State of New Mexico. In its ruling, the jury found hundreds of thousands of instances where Meta engaged in unfair, deceptive, or unconscionable trade practices, violating state law.

[3] Record March heat possible again & still dry – Hotter temperatures are expected Wednesday, with more widespread 80s and 90s. Highs will once again push into the 90s across the Albuquerque Metro. Winds pick up Thursday afternoon, bringing a high fire danger across nearly the entire state. Westerly winds will drive even hotter temperatures into eastern New Mexico.
