ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – After being closed for several weeks, the Albuquerque BioPark’s reptile building is back open, this time with a few new updates. Yurtle the turtle moved about his enclosure, as eyes watched in amazement.
“Turtles are adorable, but they’re so cool,” said River Bessette. His brother, Rowing Bessette, agrees with the sentiment, saying, “I like how there were snapping turtles, spotted turtles, and a lot of lizards.”
Spoken like true reptile enthusiasts, Rowing and River walked through the Albuquerque BioPark’s recently updated reptile building, learning more about the scaly, cold-blooded creatures they love. “It was kind of exhilarating when I first saw the gators over there because they’re so cute when you first see them, but just knowing they could break your arm with one bite is scary,” said River Bessette…
