ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A jury on Friday convicted a man of hitting and killing a pedestrian with his vehicle and leaving the crash scene in northeast Albuquerque.

Nickolis Taber, also known as Andrew Taber was found guilty of leaving the scene of an accident (great bodily harm or death). The deadly crash took place on April 10 at Truman Street NE and Central Avenue.
Video evidence showed Taber hit Tyler Juan, got out of the vehicle, observed the scene, remained briefly, and then left, according to Bernalillo County District Attorney Sam Bregman. Taber later contacted police about six hours afterward, the DA added…
