Albuquerque mother of 19-year old man killed in road rage incident asks for justice

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – On Thursday, a 19-year-old man lost his life in a road rage incident on San Mateo near Constitution. Officers arrested 31-year-old Cecilio Lopez on Friday after they said he shot and killed 19-year-old Roman Valenciano in a road rage incident.

Roman’s mother, Deborah, says his smile was contagious, and he always loved making others laugh. “He was that person to make you smile,” Deborah said. “He always had his big smile, even if he was having a bad time, he always had that big smile.”

Deborah says Roman enjoyed cooking, baking, playing video games, and was a hard worker. She said he was on his way home from his management job at a Burger King when he was killed…
