ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – KRQE News 13 has received security video from the ABQ BioPark of the daring escape of Alice the elephant. On Sunday, hours before the zoo was scheduled to open, Alice broke down the door to her enclosure.

Alice can be seen taking the opportunity to take a leisurely stroll around the park. Zoo keepers were able to walk her back into her home by commands, since Alice and her care staff have great trust in each other. ABQ Biopark officials said they are working on reinforcements to the gate.
