ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque teenager is getting the trip of a lifetime after battling a rare form of cancer. Cameras captured the moment she learned who she would be meeting on a trip to Rome. “I’m going to Rome,” said 16-year-old Isabella Solis.

Through Make-A-Wish, Isabella and her family will be jetting off to Italy. But it was an extra surprise that organizers revealed to Isabella that shocked and delighted a room full of her family and friends. “They reached out to Pope Leo and Pope Leo responded, and you’re going to meet Pope Leo on May 27th, you and your family,” said Sara Lister, President & CEO, Make-A-Wish New Mexico
