Big Brothers Bricks amps up security as Lego fraud continues

RIO RANCHO — After a series of retail Lego thefts in Albuquerque, Big Brother’s Bricks in Rio Rancho is rethinking who they accept resale from.

Matthew Marquez, 33, and Alfonso Yribe, 30, were charged with multiple counts of shoplifting and organized retail crime, according to court documents. There is a third, unknown suspect that police have not arrested. They are accused of stealing more than $10,000 worth of rare Lego sets.
