Search for retired Air Force general could end grimly: Ex-FBI agent

(NewsNation) — Newly disclosed information about the disappearance of retired Air Force Maj. Gen. William Neil McCasland does not bode well for the safe return of the 68-year-old, a former FBI special agent suggests.

Audio of the 911 call Susan Wilkerson made to emergency dispatchers on Feb. 27 sheds light on the circumstances of McCasland leaving his Albuquerque, N.M., home on foot with a sidearm.

“I have some indication that he must have planned not to be found,” said Wilkerson, who also cited medical problems her spouse had been experiencing.
