RIO RANCHO — It was all laughs, smiles and fist bumps from Dr. Robert “Robby” Dodd on Monday as he began his first official day as superintendent of Rio Rancho Public Schools.
The former Maryland schools administrator, who is only the second superintendent in RRPS history, visited Cleveland High School before class began on April 6, the first day of instruction following spring break. In a large common area in between the school’s kitchen and cafeteria, he spoke warmly with administrators and students and posed for photos with CHS mascots Stormi and Bolt.
Dodd described being at Cleveland as “one of the most exciting days of my career — if not the most exciting day.”…
