Albuquerque restaurant forced to increase some menu items due rising costs of beef

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – If you’ve been to the grocery store lately, you know the price of beef is way up, and it has gotten to the point where local restaurants can no longer absorb the higher costs and they are passing the cost along to their customers.

“Everything just has continuously increased by 1, 2, 3 dollars a pound, where is like a year ago we were paying $2.98 a pound nothing is under four dollars a pound right now,” said Owner of La Salita, Stephanie Eddings.

Eddings says for now, she is only increasing prices on their specials upping the cost on the menu by nearly a dollar-fifty…
