Video shows confrontation between BCSO deputy and juvenile, sheriff seeks termination

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Newly released body camera video shows the moments that led the Bernalillo County sheriff to call out one of his own deputies and launch an investigation into how a juvenile was handled in the back of a patrol vehicle.

The incident happened in December near Second Street and Griegos Road after deputies were called to a disturbance involving a teenage girl who had left the Bernalillo County Youth Services Center.

According to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office deputies, the girl had already injured two deputies and a court security guard before Deputy Bryan Lassley arrived to assist. Body camera video shows Lassley greeting other deputies when he arrived on scene before helping with the investigation…
