ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – New Mexico’s biggest country music festival, Boots in the Park, returned to Balloon Fiesta Park Friday, and event organizers said it’s their biggest turnout yet. “The first year it was one day, then we made it to two days, then this year we have two days and two stages,” Bonnie Marquez said with Activated Marketing.

For the third year in a row, the Boots in the Park country music festival has brought tens of thousands of fans to Albuquerque. This year, event organizers project ticket sales to double last year’s, because of the headliners they got, and new ordinances from the city to play longer and louder. “Over the course of two days, we project 60,000 people here,” Marquez said.
Activated Events, which puts on the festival, said that last year about 30% of their ticket sales were from people out of state. “We’ve seen it from El Paso, Arizona, California,” Marquez said. “I’ve had people tell me they landed this morning at the airport, and it’s all Boots in the Park, that’s all they’re seeing.”…
