Crews respond to 2nd fire in a month at abandoned motel near Coors and I-40

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Crews responded to the second fire in a month at an abandoned motel near Coors Boulevard and Interstate 40 in Albuquerque.

Around 1:11 a.m. Tuesday, Albuquerque Fire Rescue responded to reports of an outside fire at what used to be the Motel 6 on Iliff, near Coors. Crews found smoke and flames coming from a first-floor room and brought it under control within about 19 minutes.

According to AFR, they contained the damage mostly to the room. No injuries were reported…
