Construction begins on new Route 66 commemorative sign

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Construction has started on a new Route 66 commemorative sign that will span Central and light the “Mother Road” along Central Avenue near Juan Tabo in turquoise, pink and yellow.

The city said work began this week on the new sign at the eastern edge of Albuquerque.
