LOS LUNAS — With an enthusiastic round of applause greeting the decision, the Los Lunas Board of Education unanimously approved a $144,572,592 budget for the 2026-27 school year during its regular meeting on Tuesday, April 28.
With a process beginning in February, the district navigated a complex landscape of declining student enrollment and rising operational costs. The approved budget will now be sent to the New Mexico Public Education Department for final approval prior to the July 1 deadline.
