PERALTA — After a lengthy debate focused on discretionary spending limits, council oversight and specific carve-outs for construction contracts, the Peralta Town Council approved a new procurement policy and a financial and internal control policy.
The new policy was unanimously approved during a special meeting on April 29 with key amendments. The changes included delegating financial oversight to Mayor Joseph Chavez.
