DCPS: Student tried bringing knives to Eliot-Hine Middle School

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — DC Public Schools (DCPS) officials said Wednesday that a student was stopped after they tried bringing knives into Eliot-Hine Middle School.

According to a letter sent to Eliot-Hine families, school administrators learned Wednesday afternoon that a student had tried going into the school’s building while armed with knives.

The school immediately went into lockdown, and security officers contacted the Metropolitan Police Department and DCPS Police for support.
