Maryland lands QB William Jackson, a 6-foot-4 signal caller out of Florida

Maryland has landed a commitment from Orlando (Fla.) Evans three-star quarterback William Jackson.

Jackson, who chose Maryland over Liberty and over a dozen other scholarship offers, committed to the Terrapins while on an official visit to campus.

“Several things really set Maryland apart for me,” Jackson said after his spring visit to campus. “My relationship with [offensive coordinator] [Clint] Trickett is a big factor – he’s a great coach with a deep understanding of the position. Also, coach Locksley’s history of developing elite, high-level quarterbacks is undeniable; his track record proves he knows how to prepare his guys for the next level. Beyond football, the prestige that comes with a degree from Maryland and the unique opportunities available in the DMV area are very attractive to both me and my family.”…
