Construction is underway at Easy Like Sunday as the popular Baltimore brunch restaurant expands into downtown Silver Spring.
We reported earlier this year that the eatery had signed a lease for the former home of El Sapo Cuban Social Club, which closed in late 2024 at the Central Apartments building at 8455 Fenton Street. El Sapo’s sister restaurant, Urban Butcher, hit the “pause button” on operations in 2020 and has not reopened.
Chef Sean MacCuish, his wife, Anna MacCuish, and Anna’s cousin, Antonios Kokolis, first launched Easy Like Sunday in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 2020. They later sold the Charlotte location and moved to Baltimore, where they opened Easy Like Sunday restaurants in the Village of Cross Keys in 2023 and at McHenry Row in Locust Point in 2024…
