DC Water issues precautionary boil water advisory for some Northwest neighborhoods

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — DC Water issued a boil water advisory for some customers in Northwest on Friday.

Officials said that this advisory was due to a loss of water pressure. Around 4,970 customers were impacted.

DC Water issued the advisory for areas in the following neighborhoods:

  • Chevy Chase DC
  • Friendship Heights
  • Tenleytown
  • AU Park
  • Spring Valley
  • Cleveland Park
  • Woodley Park
  • Van Ness
  • Glover Park
  • Wesley Heights
  • Cathedral Heights

Under a boil water advisory, residents should boil water before consuming it due to unknown water quality.
