WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — On Wednesday, D.C. police announced sweeping road closures for the Capital Pride Parade, Capital Pride Block Party, and the Capital Pride Festival for the weekend of June 20.

The Capital Pride Parade is scheduled for Saturday, June 20. Participants are set to assemble on 15th Street from Rhode Island Avenue to U Street, NW. The parade will proceed east on T Street, NW, south on 14th Street, NW, and east on Pennsylvania Avenue, NW. The parade will disband on 6th Street from Pennsylvania Avenue, NW to Independence Avenue, SW.
The Capital Pride Block Party is also scheduled for Saturday, June 20, and will take place on 17th Street from P Street to R Street, NW.
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said that any drivers looking to head through Northwest or downtown D.C. can use U Street, Massachusetts Avenue, Independence Avenue, 17th Street, NW, and the 3rd Street Tunnel…
