WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A Virginia father says he and his 14-year-old daughter were publicly humiliated after multiple police officers stopped them outside a clothing store at Potomac Mills mall and accused her of shoplifting.
Charles Smith, of Winchester, said the encounter happened Tuesday around 6 p.m., while he and his daughter were shopping at the mall.
