Fairfax firefighters help stranded family with baby after flat tire

FAIRFAX, Va. (DC News Now) — Firefighters worked to get one family back on the road safely after they had a flat tire over the weekend.

It all started when a crew with the City of Fairfax Fire Department was returning from the hospital and stumbled across a stranded driver.

First responders rescue woman from sinking car in Fairfax County

“With a baby in the car and unsure what to do, the driver was relieved to see help arrive,” wrote the fire department in a post on social media.

Lieutenant Hinckley and Fire Medic Casey jumped into action and parked their unit behind the car. Together, they changed the flat tire.

Afterward, the family got back on the road and continued their travel…
