Gold Rush Gone Wrong: Waldorf Man Hit By Car After $8,000 Mall Necklace Theft

WALDORF, Md. — A Waldorf man was charged after investigators reported he stole an $8,000 diamond necklace from a jewelry store at St. Charles Towne Center and was struck by a vehicle while fleeing through the mall parking lot.

Kevin Williams Jr., 34, of Waldorf, was charged with theft of $1,500 to less than $25,000.
