CHARLES COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Officials in Charles County linked a suspect to a theft after responding to a hit-and-run call in June.
The Charles County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) said that shortly before 11:30 a.m. on June 29, a man went into a jewelry store in St. Charles Town Center and asked to see a necklace. The employee handed it to him, and the suspect ran away on foot with the necklace.
CCSO said that as the man ran, a car hit him and drove off. He kept running despite his injuries and got out of the area.
