BOWIE, Md. (DC News Now) — A woman died from her injuries after a shooting in Bowie days earlier, police said Tuesday.
On Aug. 20, Bowie Police Department (BPD) officers responded to the 8500 block of Myrtle Ave. for a reported shooting in a home.

Police said they found 38-year-old Shawanda Alston of Bowie, Md., with a gunshot wound to her upper torso.
