The Independent Investigations Division of the Maryland Office of the Attorney General released body-worn camera footage Aug. 28 from a fatal police-involved shooting that occurred July 31 at Fort Washington Park in Prince George’s County.
The man who died was previously identified as 30-year-old Alex Charles of Fort Washington.
According to the preliminary investigation, shortly after 6 p.m. July 31, officers with the Maryland-National Capital Park Police, Prince George’s County Division, the Prince George’s County Police Department and the U.S. Park Police responded to a report of a shooting and a man walking near the river with a gun in Fort Washington Park…
