A&J Restaurant, the longtime Chinese restaurant at 1319 Rockville Pike in Rockville, has been named one of “The Best Cheap Eats Around the DC Area” by Washingtonian.
The recently published list highlights 60 restaurants where diners can get what Washingtonian describes as a satisfying meal for less than $25 per person, excluding drinks, tax and tip. More than 200 restaurants throughout the region were considered for the list.
Washingtonian highlighted A&J’s Taiwanese-style beef noodle soup and pot stickers, while also pointing to several other longtime menu favorites. Among those mentioned were braised pork over rice, thousand-layer pancake, bean-curd skin with mustard greens and soybeans, tofu with peanuts and cilantro, and cold noodles with the restaurant’s special hot-and-sour sauce.
