TEMPLE HILLS, Md. (WUSA) – A 12-year-old Maryland boy is being hailed as a hero for defending his mother when her boyfriend allegedly attacked her.
Xavier Leathers, 12, was asleep on the couch at his mother’s Temple Hills apartment around 12:30 a.m. Saturday. That’s when he says he heard his mom’s boyfriend come into the unit and start choking her.
