Power restored to nearly all of Alexandria after more than 10,000 customers lose service Tuesday morning

Updated 9:10 a.m. — Dominion reported 29 Alexandria customers without power as of 9:01 a.m., down from 10,407 at 7:15 a.m. The cause of the outages is still listed as pending investigation.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — More than 10,000 Dominion Energy customers in Alexandria lost power Tuesday morning, four days after storms knocked out service across the city and the region.

Dominion’s outage map showed 10,407 Alexandria customers out as of 7:15 a.m., about 15% of the 71,478 the utility serves in the city. That is more than the 9,127 recorded at the peak of Friday’s storm outages…
