RAMSEUR, N.C. (WGHP) — A remembrance was held on the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks in honor of Sandy Bradshaw, a Piedmont Triad woman who was killed while aboard United Airlines Flight 93.
The remembrance for Sandy Bradshaw took place at Eastern Randolph High School and began at 9 a.m.
Bradshaw, who grew up in Randolph County and lived in Greensboro, was a flight attendant on United Airlines Flight 93 on 9/11 when terrorists hijacked the plane with plans to attack Washington, D.C.
Passengers aboard the flight and crew members heroically fought back, forcing the terrorists to crash the plane in a Pennsylvania field. Everyone who was on board died as a result of the crash; however, their selfless acts of courage saved the lives of many more…
