Last Call: Alexandria’s Duke Street Plan Comment Window Closes Tuesday

Alexandrians have until Tuesday to comment on working recommendations for the corridor from Union Station to Van Dorn Street

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandrians who want a say in the future of Duke Street have one more weekend to review the City’s working recommendations.

Public comment on the current recommendations for the Duke Street Land Use Plan closes Tuesday, Sept. 15, according to the City’s official project page.

The 18-month planning process covers the Duke Street corridor from Alexandria Union Station to Van Dorn Street and the future Landmark/West End development. Decisions made through the plan could influence land use, building form, transportation, parks, public space and the character of neighborhoods along one of Alexandria’s busiest roads…
