DC creative community comes together in 202Creates Con

For the second straight year, D.C.’s creative community will come together on Monday for the District’s 202Creates Con. It’s a daylong series of roundtable discussions, featuring leaders in D.C.’s entertainment, sports, hospitality and other sectors to focus attention on the creative economy.

“Now, we talk about creativity in this city, we’re not just talking about fun and games, we’re talking about dollars and cents,” said LaToya Foster, director of the D.C. Office of Cable Television, Film, Music and Entertainment, which is sponsoring the event.

“Dollars and cents to the tune of $15.9 billion that’s contributed to our city’s revenue as a result of the creative economy,” Foster said…
