Sept. 28 (UPI) — A man out running errands picked up a pair of Maryland Lottery tickets for his dad — and they earned him a $100,000 windfall.
The Washington father and son told Maryland Lottery officials the younger man was out running errands when he picked up the winning ticket.
“My son was in the neighborhood while he was out running errands,” the father said. “He mentioned that he’d be picking up some lottery tickets, and told me he’d pick one up for me.”
The son knew his dad’s favorite game, Pick 5, and his preferred number combination, 15670. He wound up buying two identical tickets for his father from the 7-Eleven on Ruby Lockhart Boulevard in Bowie…
