A Montgomery County man and former senior federal employee has been sentenced to two years of supervised probation, including three months of home confinement with electronic monitoring, after pleading guilty to theft of government property in connection with a timecard scheme.
Evester Edd of Silver Spring, 64, was also ordered to pay $20,758.50 in restitution and perform 250 hours of community service, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland.
According to court documents, Edd was a senior human resources employee with the Peace Corps and worked from the agency’s Washington, D.C. headquarters or an approved telework location.
