MARTINSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — Eighty-two people from West Virginia, Virginia and Maryland were indicted by a grand jury for their alleged roles in a drug trafficking ring that distributed fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine in West Virginia’s Eastern Panhandle.
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) said in a press release that the investigation yielded 10 kilograms of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, firearms, and hundreds of thousands of dollars in assets.

According to the indictment , the following people were indicted on the following charges:
- Gary Bernard Brown, Jr., aka Gee: Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute and to Distribute 400 Grams or More of a Fentanyl Mixture; Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute and to Distribute Fentanyl, Acetyl Fentanyl, Methamphetamine Hydrochloride, Cocaine, and Cocaine Base; Distribution of Fentanyl Mixture.
- Eric Garner, aka Pops: Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute and to Distribute 400 Grams or More of a Fentanyl Mixture; Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute and to Distribute Fentanyl, Acetyl Fentanyl, Methamphetamine Hydrochloride, Cocaine, and Cocaine Base.
- Saul Percy Powell, Jr. aka Protégé: Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute and to Distribute 400 Grams or More of a Fentanyl Mixture; Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute and to Distribute Fentanyl, Acetyl Fentanyl, Methamphetamine Hydrochloride, Cocaine, and Cocaine Base.
