Child hit by car in Fairfax County

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. ( DC News Now ) — Police said that a car hit a pedestrian in the Pimmit Hills Sunday evening.

Fairfax County police said that they were on the scene of the crash at Pimmit and Storm drives where a child had been hit. Medics took the child to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver stayed on the scene.

At the time, the intersection was closed as detectives investigated.

A short time after the crash, Fairfax County police said that the child’s injuries no longer were considered to be life-threatening.
