On January 28, at approximately 10:52 pm, Takoma Park Police responded to the 6300 block of Eastern Avenue for the report of an attempted armed robbery and assault. According to police, “the victim was walking towards his residence when he was approached by two male suspects wearing all black and ski masks. One suspect pointed a handgun at the victim and attempted to forcibly take property. The victim resisted and was assaulted. The attempted armed robbery was interrupted by a witness and the two suspects fled in a vehicle described as a red sedan.
